‘Titans’ Executive Producer Says Kory Will Have A “Big Season” In The New Year

When Titans resumes on HBO Max, Kory (Anna Diop) will have a “big season.”
At least, that’s what executive producer Greg Walker told TVLine when asked about the possibility of the series featuring Kori’s homeworld of Tamaran. “The arrival of her sister/nemesis Blackfire launches Kory down a path where she uncovers both secrets about her past and clues to her destiny… all of which will lead to her true calling as Starfire,” he explained.
We’ll note he made no mention of Tamaran itself, but Blackfire’s (Damaris Lewis) debut will definitely change the dynamic of the series. In fact, it suggests the series will move away from fathers and sons — as covered in the first two seasons — to sibling relationships. Kori is the only member of the group with a sister by blood, but considering how the show has always revolved around the family you make, we may see some unlikely bonds of sisterhood forming along the way. Kory already has strong connections with Raven (Teagan Croft) and Donna (Conor Leslie), so maybe its Rose’s (Chelsea Zhang) turn to get better acquainted with the Titans’ resident extraterrestrial.
The season will also see Jason Todd (Curran Walters) break bad and become The Red Hood, which also fits into the theme of siblings as, no doubt, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) will try to pull him back into the light.
The series has been delayed, of course, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but one imagines it will begin production sometime in the new year.
