Jon Cor To Play Chillblaine During Season 7 Of ‘The Flash’

Get your ice puns ready, Chillblaine is coming to The Flash.

TVLine reports Shadowhunters veteran Jon Cor will play the character in a recurring capacity during the upcoming seventh season. Originally created by Mark Waid and Craig Brasfield for the Armageddon 2001 tie-in Flash Annual #4 (1991), the name soon became attached to Golden Glider as she would press-gang her boyfriends into playing the role. In each instance, they would use ice gun tech similar to Captain Cold’s, but tend to lack in the smarts department. Well, except for one …

The TV version of the character is a scientist named Mark Stevens. Obsessed with cryogenic technology, he is known for breaking into corporate safes and “breaking hearts with his irresistible charm and roguish style.” Also, it appears the character will have no relationship with Golden Glider as the character, memorably played by Peyton List in The Flash‘s first season, is not expected to appear on the show anytime soon. That said, it is always possible Chillblaine will eventually lead to her Central City return.

It is unclear when Cor will make his debut as the early part of The Flash‘s seventh season will revolve around the Season 6 plot line. The series returns to The CW on February 23rd.
