Diamond To Launch Card Culture Trading Card Program For Retailers

Diamond Comic Distributors is getting into the collectible trading card game this May with Card Culture, a retailer program focused on non-sport cards from leading companies. The idea is to offer exclusive, licensed content for member stores.

The first release, timed for May 4th, 2021 (aka May the 4th), is done in partnership with The Topps Company, Inc for Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2. Member stores will be able to access an exclusive 11-card limited edition Mandalorian promo set. The first card will be available on May 4th with the rest of the cards released at a later date.

“We see tremendous growth with non-sport trading cards and are thrilled to be announcing this program today,” said Chris Powell, Chief Sales & Service Officer for Diamond Comic Distributors. “The exclusive, limited edition Mandalorian content Topps is developing for member stores is particularly exciting and is really the icing on the cake. Topps is the industry leader in trading cards and this partnership will give our customers access to licensed content otherwise unavailable. It’s exciting for us, for our customers and for the collector.”

Other releases through Card Culture will include exclusive content from Garbage Pail Kids and WWE, anticipated for the second half of 2021.
