‘Guilty Gear: Strive’ Shows Off It’s Gameplay Modes

Arc System Works has shown off a new trailer for Guilty Gear: Strive that focuses on the fighting game’s game modes.  Lasting five minutes long, the trailer starts off showing off the entire roster of fifteen characters before going on about how they plan on satisfying the different types of players interested in the game.

For single player gamers, they have the game’s tutorial mode which is meant to show players everything from how to play to what scenarios might happen online. There’s also the game’s voice-acted arcade mode, which gives players the opportunity to battle AI enemies and even team up for specific battles. Classic survival mode makes a return, leading to the player beating AI enemies in succession, and Mission Mode where players can practice fighting game mechanics.

For players who want to go online, they have training mode which can also show off specific instances of online scenarios. There’s the expected online mode, which allows for online lobbies and crossplay between Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, and player match rooms that can have up to nine players in the same room.

Lastly, there’s a Story Mode which can be viewed without playing through matches. This comes with a chronology and a glossary to engage in the lore.

Guilty Gear: Strive launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on April 9th.
