The X-Men Face ‘The Curse Of The Man-Thing’ In May
by Tony Thornley
In 2021, Marvel’s strangest hero, The Man-Thing, reaches his fiftieth anniversary. To celebrate, the muck monster is teaming up with some of Marvel’s greatest, and the event all ends as the X-Men face Curse of the Man-Thing.
Steve Orlando is joined in the conclusion of his three part event by Andrea Broccardo to tell a tale of Marvel’s mighty mutants. Following March’s Avengers: Curse of the Man-Thing, and April’s Spider-Man: Curse of the Man-Thing, The Man-Thing’s power has been stolen and now the world is burning with blazes fueled by fear. The being once known as Ted Sallis is calling upon a captain of Krakoa to help. And Magik is bringing along a monstrous new team of X-Men- the Dark Riders, consisting of Wolf Cub, Marrow, Mammomax, Forearm and Shark-Girl!

“It all comes together with X-Men: Curse of the Man-Thing,” Orlando said, “and I can’t wait for you all to see it! Andrea Broccardo’s work bringing to life not just Man-Thing and his new nemesis Harrower, but Krakoa’s iconic Magik and her team of Dark Riders has been nothing short of sensational.”
He continued, “Regrown from nearly nothing, Man-Thing has returned to celebrate his 50th anniversary with a focus and intensity like we’ve never seen. Maybe he can stop the world from burning, but the real final showdown will be between him and the supernatural zealot that hijacked his powers: Harrower. Luckily, he’ll have help in the form of Magik, intent on repaying a debt the Marvel Universe never knew was owed until now. Monster Mutant Mayhem as Man-Thing’s 50th reaches its climax!”
X-Men: Curse of the Man-Thing debuts in May from Marvel Comics.
