‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Goes Chibi In New Line From Dark Horse Comics

Dark Horse Books and Nickelodeon have teamed up for a new line of books for the smallest fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender in a Chibi style. The first in this series, Aang’s Unfreezing Day, launches in September 2021 from author Kelley Leigh Miller and artist Diana Sim along with animated series writer Tim Hedrick.

When Aang was frozen in an iceberg for a hundred years, he managed to forget his birthday! Luckily his friends Katara, Toph, Sokka, and Zuko plan to surprise him with a new special day to celebrate. But they’ll have to be careful while they prepare–it’s a surprise!

Avatar: The Last Airbender – Chibi Volume 1: Aang’s Unfreezing Day is set for release on September 7th, 2021 and is currently available for pre-order at your local comic shop, bookstore, and Amazon.
