Kickstart This: The Comicscene ‘History Of Comics’ Continues!
by Richard Bruton
Currently running on Kickstarter, the second round of Comicscene‘s ambitious History of Comics 1930-2030 project is up for funding right now, presenting volumes 5-8 of the proposed 70-part collection that will build up into a year-by-year historical record of comics!

Launched in 2020 the Comicscene History of Comics is a planned 100-issue partwork series that will cover comics from 1930 to 2030, with each new volume covering a different year.
In 2020, the first set of four volumes, 1984 (volume 1), 1977 (volume 2), 1950 (volume 3), and 1986 (volume 4) was released after the first successful Kickstarter.
Now, it’s time for the next quartet of years, with books 5-8 covering the years 2020 (volume 5), 1971 (volume 6), 1976 (volume 7), and 1991 (volume 8).
This new Kickstarter also offers you the opportunity to catch up and get the first four books in the series, storage slipcases, plus a Comic Club membership card and number, access to the Comicscene Comic Club online with 2000+ extra digital pages about comics and extra features on the History of Comics website that couldn’t be fitted into the books.
