Step Into The Valiant Universe With ‘Uprising’ FCBD 2021 Special

Free Comic Book Day (hitting on August 14th this year) is a great opportunity to try out some new comics. You can even jump into an entirely different super hero universe with Valiant Entertainment. The publisher has announced Valiant Uprising, a collection of previews for upcoming titles including X-O Manowar, The Harbinger, Ninjak, and Shadowman, all wrapped in a cover by Robbi Rodriguez.
The X-O Manowar piece is written by Dennis Hopeless and illustrated by Emilio Laiso. It serves as a jumping on point as the hero prepares to “Upgrade the World” this summer. The Harbinger #1 preview comes from writers Jackson Lanzing and Colin Kelly and artist Robbi Rodriguez. Writer Jeff Parker and artist Javier Pulido provide a look at Ninjak #1 as the world’s greatest super spy responds to being unmasked, hunted, and trapped. Finally, writer Cullen Bunn and artist Jon Davis-Hunt show us what’s to come in the terrifying world of Shadowman.
Valiant has loads of interesting stories and characters available. This Free Comic Book Day special is a great way to try a few out before digging into the new series coming down the line. While you can scoop up this special and other comics for free on August 14th, remember that they’re not free for the comic shops so try to buy a few things while you’re visiting.
