Mondo Present Its Largest Collectible Yet With Its ‘Godzilla ’89’ Eighteen Inch Statue
by Olly MacNamee
Mondo have just announced their largest collectible yet with the introduction of a new Godzilla statute standing at 18 inches, including the base.
As with previous offerings, this one comes as a regular edition at $350 or a limited edition version with a switch-out mouth, a switch-out Heat Ray and a battle-damaged arm, wounds inflicted by vicious vegetable Biollante! As seen in the 1989 film this statue is based on, Godzilla Vs Biollante. All for an extra $25 ($375).
Sculpted by Mark Newman and Hector Arce, designed by Eric Siebenaler, and painted by Hector Arce, the Godzilla ’89 statues are both up now for pre-order on the Mondo webshop here.
And if the statutes are a little out of your price range, you can always settle for a limited edition Godzilla ’74 Tiki Mug from Mondo too. Based on the 1974 film, Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla, and designed by Hector Arce, Mike Bonanno and Tufan Sezer, it’s definitely the cheaper option.
