Preview: Calling All Evil Geniuses – ‘Evil Genius 2: World Domination Companion’
by Richard Bruton
The new Rebellion video game Evil Genius 2 is out next week, so time to look through the companion magazine, complete with a couple of great looking comic strips with art from Patrick Goddard and Staz Johnson.
There’s not as much crossover as you’d expect between Rebellion’s video gaming empire and their comics empire, with just Sniper Elite: Resistance getting its own short series and the Zombie Army: Last Rites series that ran in the Megazine, but with the new Evil Genius 2 game out on Tuesday 30th March, they’re bringing the two sides of the company together in this companion that mixes game info, character bios, creator interviews, and a couple of comic strips set inspired by the game.
What’s inside? Well…
Evil Genius 2: World Domination is the second title in the lair-building strategy management game series, released on 30 March worldwide.
You can get hold of the Evil Genius 2 Companion on 7th April in the UK and 5th May in the USA from newsagents, comic shops and digital stores.
As far as the brand-new comics go, it’s two shorts from very familiar names to readers of 2000 AD and the Treasury of British Comics Specials, with Karl Stock and Patrick Goddard bringing you The Curse of Genius and Kate Heartfield (The Magician’s Workshop) and Staz Johnson with Incendio.
