Russell Crowe Is The Latest Addition To ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’
by Erik Amaya
Russell Crowe is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Deadline reports the actor will have a cameo role in Taika Waititi‘s upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. Of course, the identity of his part is a closely guarded secret. He joins returning actors like Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and the cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy films. The film will also feature former Batman Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher and a set of guest stars playing actors performing as famous Asgardians. The troop includes Matt Damon as the actor playing Loki — a role he previously played in Thor: Ragnarok, Melissa McCarthy as an actor playing Hela, Luke Hemsworth as the thespian essaying Thor, and Sam Neil as someone performing as Odin. Is it possible Crowe is part of this mummer’s farce? According to the site, the actor’s involvement was meant to be a surprise until photos of Crowe surfaced online. We’ll take a guess and suggest he is either an actor playing Thanos or, if the play recaps Ragnarok, someone doing their best Grandmaster or Hulk impression.
Honestly, we love the idea of Crow as the Hulk.
Filming is currently underway in Australia. The movie is set for release on May 6th, 2022.
