Ryan Alexander-Tanner Releases Muhammad Ali Bio Comic Through Patreon

by James Ferguson

For the past five years, creator Ryan Alexander-Tanner has been researching, writing, and illustrated a comic book biography about the boxer, sports legend, and American hero, Muhammad Ali. The 12-chapter, 400-page book tells Ali’s story from when he discovered boxing at the end of 12 through his passing in 2016. The book is currently available exclusively through Patreon.

Patreon is a crowdfunding platform where you can support creators on a monthly basis and often get rewards for doing so. In this case, for $3 a month, you’ll get a digital subscription to the comic, with a PDF of each chapter being emailed to you when it’s completed. At $5 a month, you’ll receive a printed, limited-edition comic book of each chapter when it’s finished. There are also $1 and higher tiers if you’d like to help out in different ways.

You can also find out more information about the project from Alexander-Tanner on the Patreon page.
