Review Round Up: All Our Comic Book Reviews From The Past Week

by Olly MacNamee

We have a relatively small pool of reviewers when compared to other sites but we certainly burn through a good deal of reviews each and every week. After all, we are all fans first. So, I’m not surprised we’ve had another busy week reviewing comics from across a broad selection of publishers. Even I mamboed to get in on the action this week with two advance reviews. One, at the beginning of the week, was The Department of Truth #7 (here) with the other coming at the end of the week with an advance review of Nocterra #2 here. I also finally got in a reviews of Once & Future #17 ahead of new comic book day too. Read that one here.

Fellow Senior Editor James Ferguson kept himself busy with reviews for Marvel’s Spidey titles, Miles Morales Spider-Man #24 here, and The Amazing Spider-Man #62 here as well as reviews for BOOM! Studios Power Rangers #5  here and Dark Horse’s Barbalien: Red Planet #5 here.

Scott Redmond was busy once again this past week with reviews for AWA Upshot’s Mann’s World #3 here, and Byte-Sized #4 here, BOOM! Studios’ Firefly #27 here, Image Comics’ Shadecraft #1 here, and DC Comics’ The Next Batman: Second Son #6 here. He also reviewed IDW’s TMNT: The Best of Michelangelo here and Marvel’s Black Cat #4 here too.

Meanwhile, Tony Thornley reviewed Marvel’s Cable #9 here, X-Men #19 hereGuardians of the Galaxy #12 here, and DC Comics’ Action Comics #1029 here.

Brendan M Allen took an advance look at Image Comics’ The Silver Coin #1 here and Scout Comics’ Rabid World #1 here.

And last, but by no means least, Richard Bruton gave a glowing review to rural horror, 2000 AD’s Thistlebone Vol. 1 here, Image Comics’ Stray Dogs #2 here and the return of Harley Quinn (again) in Harley Quinn #1 here.
