Vincent Kartheiser Joins ‘Titans’ As The Scarecrow For Season 3
by Erik Amaya
A member of Gotham’s criminal elite will welcome Titans to town when the show returns.
Deadline reports Angel and Mad Men veteran Vincent Kartheiser has joined the cast of the program’s third season as Jonathan Crane — aka the Scarecrow. Created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, Crane first appeared as the Master of Fear in 1941, using his fear gas to conjure up a person’s greatest fears while he robbed them blind. Over the years, his reasons for becoming a supervillain have become more complex and his fear gas more dangerous. It will be interesting to see how the villain tussles with Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) and the younger heroes. Presumably, Batman will be use to his tricks, but will Raven (Teagan Croft)?
The program is expanding its cast as it heads for HBO Max. Besides Kartheiser, the program will feature Damaris Lewis as Blackfire and Savannah Welch as Barbra Gordon. Storywise: expect to see the resurrection of Donna Troy (Conor Leslie) and the debut of Jason Todd (Curran Walters) as the Red Hood.
Titans makes its HBO Max debut sometime in the not-too-distant future.
