Review Round Up: All The Past Week’s Comic Book Reviews

by Olly MacNamee

Every week we feed our reviews a steady flow of new comic books direct to their separate cells in our basement here at Comicon HQ. And throughout the week we get a steady flow of new reviews for new books. But then, we do link productivity to food rations, so maybe that’s why we get so many reviews each and every week? And this past week was no different with our regular writers looking over comics from a. selection of publishers.

Tony Thornley looked at DC Comics’ Action Comics #1030 here, and Marvel’s X-Force #19 here.

Tito W James cast his eyes over Titan Comics’ Knights of Heliopolis garphic novel here.

James Ferguson reviewed Marvel Comics Spidey titles, Spider-Woman #11 here, and The Amazing Spider-Man #64 here.

I looked at The Department of Truth #8 here and AWA Upshot’s E-Ratic #5 here.

Meanwhile, Scott Redmond reviewed a handful of DC Comics’ Batman related titles with reviews for The Next Batman: Second Son #8 hereand The Next Batman: Second Son #9 here, Robin #1 here, and Detective Comics #1035 here. He also had time to check in on Image Comics’ Shadecraft #2 here, and BOOM! Studios’ Firefly: Brand New ‘Verse #2 here.

And, Brendan M Allen gave us his thoughts on two AfterShock titles; Knock ‘Em Dead #5 here and Nuclear Family #3 here. He also reviewed Mad Cave’s Nottingham #3 here, Image Comics’ Redneck Vol. 5 here, Dark Horse’s Orphan and the Five Beasts #2 here and Image Comics’ HaHa #4 here.

Finally, Richard Bruton reviews Blazer #1 by ’77 Productions here, as well as offering his opinion on 2000AD’s all-ages read, Full Tilt Boogie here too.
