‘Back 4 Blood’ Shows Off It’s Card System In New Age-Restricted Trailer
by Sage Ashford
Though the co-op zombie shooter Back 4 Blood has been delayed, Turtle Rock Studios is keeping the game in the minds of fans everywhere with the release of their “Card System” trailer. This relies on an AI system referred to as the Game Director and is designed to monitor each individual player’s choices to customize the world around them, and promises every play-through will be different.
The beginning of each game will start with the AI system playing a set of “Corruption cards”, which modify the conditions of each playthrough by adding conditions and sending specific enemies to the player. Then the player will be able to use their own deck, which can be either pre-made or customized. Players are dealt cards from their deck, which allow them to work with their friends to create strategies to help them fight better. By completing specific objectives they can earn supply points to buy new cards or customize their characters.
Back 4 Blood will be available on October 12th for Xbox and PlayStation consoles and PC.
