Early Look: An Epic Tale Of Vengeance And Survival In ‘Basilisk’ #1

by Brendan M. Allen

The ENTIRE creative team of BOOM! Studios’ Bone Parish reunites for another supernatural horror series, Basilisk. If the previous series these four worked on together is any indication, Basilisk is one to watch out for, starting in June 2021.

BOOM! Studios has revealed a first look at Basilisk #1, the premiere issue of their new series from horror writer Cullen Bunn, artist Jonas Scharf, colorist Alex Guimarães, and letterer Ed Dukeshire. Basilisk unleashes an epic tale of vengeance and survival as a monstrous threat ravages the countryside and the only ones who can stop it are mortal enemies.

‘Who Can Stop The Chimera? Five individuals bound by a cult-like hivemind, they terrorize small towns with their horrifying, supernatural sense-based powers, leaving death and destruction in their wake. Regan, one of the Chimera, escaped and has been in hiding with her murderous eyes bound, overcome with guilt.  Until now… when a victim from her past forces her to hunt down the other four of her kind.’

Featuring main cover art by series artist Jonas Scharf and variant covers by Christian Ward and Rafael Albuquerque, Basilisk #1 hits the spinner racks on June 2, 2021.

Yes, yes, and och aye! Now he reads comics and writes about them. It's a rough gig. You can follow Brendan on Twitter @SaintAmish where he tweets about comic books and cystic fibrosis awareness.
