Meet The New Comicon News Desk Editor: Brendan M. Allen

by Erik Amaya

You may have noticed Brendan M. Allen‘s byline more often in the last couple of weeks. That’s because we’re pleased to announce he is taking on a new role here at Comicon as our News Desk editor. What’s a News Desk Editor you might ask? It’s the person compiling the comic book news fit to print to keep you abreast of the latest happenings in the often wild world of our favorite industry. Brendan proved he has a passion for getting the word out quickly and clearly and we’re quite thrilled to have him informing out readers daily.

Of course, Brendan is a familiar name here at the site as a key member of the review staff and thanks to his weekly New To You Comics column with Tony Thornley. He’ll continue in those capacities as well.

For more about our News Desk Editor, check out bio his below and it you haven’t already, follow him on Twitter @SaintAmish.

Brendan M. Allen has probably had more jobs than you would reasonably believe. Dog trainer? He’s done it. Flooring contractor? Yep! EMT? Army NBC specialist? Road dog for a Celtic rock band? Yes, yes, and och aye! Now he reads comics and writes about them. You can follow Brendan on Twitter @SaintAmish where he mostly tweets about comic books and cystic fibrosis awareness.
