Summer Game Fest Kicks Off This June With Live Performance From Weezer

Summer Game Fest returns for a second year and the all-digital global celebration of video games will begin next month. On Thursday, June 10th, the event starts with Kick Off Live!, a spectacular showcase of world premieres. It will be hosted by The Game Awards’ Geoff Keighley with a performance by Weezer.

The completely free festival will feature over 30 of the industry’s leading game publishers, developers and platforms. Summer Game Fest boasts a line-up of original programming, publisher live stream events and more. Fans can watch everything within the comforts of their own home using their streaming platform of choice.

The following partners will be present to announce their latest news and upcoming projects: 2K, Activision, Amazon Games, Annapurna Interactive, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Battlestate Games, Blizzard Entertainment, CAPCOM, Devolver Digital, Dotemu, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Finji, Frontier, Gearbox Publishing, Hi-Rez Studios, Inner Sloth, Koch Media, Mediatonic, MiHoYo, PlayStation, Psyonix, Raw Fury, Riot Games, Saber Interactive, SEGA, Steam, SQUARE ENIX, Tribeca Festival, Tencent Games, Warner Bros. Games, Ubisoft, Wizards of the Coast, and Xbox.

Kick Off Live! premieres June 10th at 1am PT/ 2pm ET/ 6pm GMT/BST. It will have over a dozen world premieres and announcements from certain developers along with a preview of the livestream events to come during Summer Game Fest. Also, there will be ‘Days of the Dev,’ a showcase of exciting indie games that is curated and produced by iam8bit and Double Fine productions.

As part of Weezer’s live performance, the band will debut a brand new, stream safe game soundtrack song. The song can be freely streamed Twitch, YouTube and anywhere else without being blocked or monetization.

All of Summer Game Fest’s original programming will be made available on all major streaming platforms including Facebook, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube and more global outlets, and also be co-streamed by creators around the world.
