‘Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin’ Gets A Fourth Gameplay Trailer

by Sage Ashford

During the latest Monster Hunter digital stream, Capcom released a fourth trailer for their upcoming RPG, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The trailer goes into detail about the main character and their grandfather, Monster Rider Red, while also talking about characters coming back from the first game.

The trailer also shows what’s necessary to gain new monsters–they’ll have to go into Monster Dens that are found out in the world and come out with Monster Eggs. The rarity of the eggs depends on the rarity of each Monster Den the player is willing to travel to. These eggs can be taken back to the player’s Stable, which will eventually hatch to create new monsters. It’ll also be possible for players to use the Rite of Channeling to trade monsters to different games. Monsters will also be able to be customized by combining different genes, creating monsters with specific skills to help them in combat against their foes.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin releases on Nintendo Switch and the PC on July 9th.
