Dragon Quest XII Flames Of Fate

To cap off the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary live-stream, Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii announced Dragon Quest XII: The Flames Of Fate.  No trailer or even concept art was shown, and instead viewers were left to decipher what the game could be about from Yuji Horii’s description.  During the stream, he talked about this being a more darker type of game, and a “Dragon Quest for adults”, and assured players they would have to make certain decisions to decide their character’s fate.  Though this could easily refer to the game being more open-world and dialogue based, it could also refer to the job system making a comeback.

Little else is known about the game, other than it being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and them making changes to the Command Based System, though Horii was specific to say that the game would still retain commands.

Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate has no release date and no announced platforms.
