This week the gang take a trip to Corellia in the attempt to gain a tactical droid for Cid (Rhea Perlman) which ends up in a shoot out. And while on Corellia Clone Force 99 bump into more familiar faces from The Clone Wars, sisters Rafa and Trace. And that’s about it, really. No real revelations, although the ending does hint at the promise of more recognisable characters from the Star Wars universe on the horizon. As to who that may be? Let the guessing begin.
Other than that, there’s not much more to add in an episode that is rather forgettable and not really of any significance to the bigger story unfolding. In fact, the very mission they are undertaking is rather redundant, given they believe the information to be found in this particular droid’s head will help against the Empire’s reliance on clone troopers. Troopers, as we know, that are being phased out by the Empire.
Still, it was another fun episode but I would like a little bit more substance and more of the rise of the Empire. Maybe next week?
The Bad Batch is streaming now on Disney + with new episodes out every Friday.
