At the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Bethesda revealed the first teaser of their upcoming science fiction RPG, Starfield. Starfield has been in the works for years, remaining a rumor until 2018 when Bethesda confirmed it’s existence.
Starfield represents Bethesda’s first legitimately new IP in 25 years, and is described as “NASA-punk”, as a reference to how much of it’s roots can be traced to the origin of NASA. The game invites players to join a group of star explorers known as Constellation. It’s been confirmed that the game takes place over 300 years into the future, where players will be able to create their own character and join different factions out in space as they seek to discover what exists among the stars.
Starfield is an Xbox console exclusive, but will also release Day One on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X and PC on November 11th, 2022.
