Review Round Up: This Week’s Comic Book Reviews Rounded Up
by Olly MacNamee
Welcome to your weekly round up of all the comic book reviews we’ve posted this past week on Comicon.con. Another week of books from the Big Two as well as a good few from other publishers too.
We had Scott Redmond review DC Comics’ Detective Comics #1038 and rightfully discuss the ongoing trend for comic book companies to hire creators with some rather unwholesome views here, Robin #3, Catwoman #32, Marvel’s Miles Morales: Spider-Man #27, as well as reviews for IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #118, and BOOM! Studios‘ Firefly: Brand New ‘Verse #4.
It was a busy week for me too with reviews for Marvel’s Heroes Return #1 (boy, am I glad that series is over and done with), and DC Comics’ Infinite Frontier #1, an advance review of Ed Piskor’s Red Room #2, Image Comics’ Spawn Universe #1 (or should that be “Yawn” universe?), Marvel’s Fantastic Four: Life Story #2, and an advance look at The Last Book You’ll Ever Read #1 from Vault Comics.
Tony Thornley took a look at Marvel’s New Mutants #19, S.W.O.R.D. #6 as well as DC Comics’ Superman Red & Blue #4 and The Flash #771.
Last, but not least, was Richard Bruton’s review of Rebellion/2000 AD’s Black Beth and the Devils of Al-Kadesh.
Again, another good round up of books reviewed which you may agree or disagree with.
