Justin Roiland is probably best know for co-creating Rick & Morty, but he also works in the field of video games too as the CEO of Squanch Games. And it’s as CEO that he produced the hit game, Trover Saves The Universe, which is soon to debut as a comic book from Image/Skybound later this summer.
Trover Saves The Universe #1 will be written and illustrated by Tess Stone and available on Wednesday August 4th. But ahead of that we get an all-new look at the debut issue below fro your viewing consideration:
“If you aren’t familiar with it, ICJ (Important Cosmic Jobs)—is a place where employees are ranked by their boss, and at the end of each month, the worst employee literally gets the ax. It’s…not a great gig. But when ICJ’s top eyehole monster winds up dead, the company’s most inept (and rival) employees, Klover and Bo, are falsely accused of his murder and hunted by the Space Cops!
Now Klover and Bo must clear their names and unravel a conspiracy that reaches the very top… that is, if they don’t kill each other first!”
Add this preview to the first sneak peek we got when this series was originally announced and it adds up to a pretty good look at the first issue. More than enough to decide whether this comic is for you or not.
As well as the forthcoming series, Trover Saves the Universe is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC and VR via Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Oculus Store.
