Bartel’s career may be pretty short, having been picked up by comic companies after her fan art online got traction back in 2017/8, but since then her trajectory has been nothing but upwards – co-creating Blackbird for Image with Sam Humphries, and winning Eisner Awards as a cover artist on Blackbird (Image) and Submerged (Vault).
