The Hellfire Gala ended last month with one of the most shocking moments possible — The Scarlet Witch lay dead on Krakoa, and the prime suspect appears to be Magneto! Now, a new trailer for the event miniseries X-Men: The Trial of Magneto drops some hints at the mystery to come.
When readers last saw Wanda Maximoff alive in SWORD #6, she was sharing a tender moment with Magneto as he attempted to reconcile with the woman he had thought to be his daughter for years. In X-Factor #10, her son and his boyfriend found her dead. So what happened?
That’s the question that Leah Williams and Lucas Werneck seek to answer in August’s X-Men: The Trial of Magneto. If the new trailer is any indication, it’s going to be a twisty mystery and a major event across the entire Marvel Universe.
