DC Comics Gives Us A First Look At ‘Batman 89’ #1 And A Return To The Tim Burton Classic

DC Comics returns to the film world of Tim Burton’s Batman, as previously reported, with Batman ’89. And to give it authenticity this six-issue series will be written by Batman screenwriter Sam Hamm with art by Joe Quinones, colours by Leonardo Ito and lettering from Clayton Cowles. And ahead of its release on Tuesday August 10th we get a first look with many of the familiar elements of the film featured in these preview pages.

“When the new six-issue comic book run launches next month, Gotham City is being torn in two as citizens dressed as Batman and The Joker duke it out in the streets! As D.A. Harvey Dent tries to keep the city together, he targets the one problem tearing it apart: BATMAN! And he’ll get Bruce Wayne’s help in taking down the Dark Knight!”

Surely a first look at Superman 78 #1 can’t be too far off now, can it?
