‘Vampirella’ And ‘Red Sonja’ Holiday Specials Planned For November

Vampirella and Red Sonja are headed for winter holiday lands this November.
Dynamite Entertainment announced Tuesday plans for Red Sonja and Vampirella holiday specials. The Red Sonja 2021 Holiday Special, from regular series writers Mirka Andolfo and Luca Blengino and art from Zulema Lavina, sees Sonja acclimating to winter time festivities thanks to her recent “adoption” of young Sitha. But will outside forces put a pause on the partying?
Writer/artist Will Robson shepherds Vampirella through the Vampirella 2021 Holiday Special. Unfortunately for her, “The Spirits of Christmas” — a clan of hunters with a twisted tradition of tracking down mythical creatures to kill each Christmas Eve — are looking to add her to their Yuletide schedule. Will she be able to survive an evening against “the battle-ready manifestations of the Past, Present and Future?”
Each special will feature three covers. Andolfo and Robson contribute covers to their respective issues while Joseph Michael Linsner and cosplayer Rachel Hollon each offer covers for both specials.
The Red Sonja 2021 Holiday Special and Vampirella 2021 Holiday Special are slated for release in November 2021.
