Darkness Infects Blue Valley High In A Preview Of Next Week’s ‘Stargirl’

The Black Diamond does more than infect people with darkness, it also corrupts places. And as seen in this preview for next week’s Stargirl, the darkness corrupts Blue Valley High with horrors the new JSA has never seen. Meanwhile, Cindy (Meg DeLacy) continues to recruit people for her Injustice gang. Will she be as successful as she was this week?

If Eclipso’s powers are so terrifying even The Shade (Jonathan Cake) feels compelled to cast the Black Diamond into the briny depths, Cindy is going to pay a hefty price in the end even if she achieves her dream of a new Injustice Society. But maybe she’ll also learn the secret Pat (Luke Wilson) and Barbara (Amy Smart) have decided to keep from the JSA about the old team’s run in with Eclipso. Will she be able to wield that truth against Courtney (Brec Bassinger) and the new team?

Also, just what happened when the old team fought Eclipso. It’s clear he possessed some of them, but what sort of actions did he make them take? And does it tie into The Shade’s reason for trapping Dr. Charles McNider (Alex Collins) in the shadow realm?

The edges of darkness in this season of Stargirl are actually compelling. So far, it’s led to Barbara knowing more about something than Courtney and a pretty stark illustration that Courtney’s empathy will not work on Artemis (Stella Smith). Although, you have to wonder if Artemis is the reason her parents return to Blue Valley on a more permanent basis in Season 3. Their love for her transcends their villainous ways and it may be the only way to pull her back from the darkness of Cindy and Eclipso.
