Thought Bubble 2021: Doodles With Dave Celebrates A Life In comics

by Richard Bruton

This will be the first Thought Bubble Comic Festival in a couple of years. Sadly, it will be missing someone very special this year – Dave Evans, Bolt-01. But he’ll be there in spirit with the Doodles For Dave Project.

One half of Futurequake Press, Dave sadly passed away in May of this year, way too early, a tragic, terrible, unexpected loss.

And as part of Futurequake, Dave was a mainstay of UK comic cons, including Thought Bubble. And this year, to celebrate his life, not to mention his habit of forever doodling on those little squares of paper at conventions, Futurequake Press at Thought Bubble this year will be showcasing just one thing – Doodles For Dave.

Just bring a bit of paper to the table, get a doodle, donate what you want to charity. And there’s also going to be a charity raffle of plenty of goodies donated from 2000 AD directly.

The charity chosen by Futurequake is Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide – SOBS.

You can find Futurequake Press and the Doodles For Dave table at Table 138 in the ComiXology Originals Hall.

Thought Bubble takes place over the weekend of 13th-14th November.
