‘Riverdale’ Vet Djouliet Amara To Recur During The Second Season Of ‘Superman & Lois’
by Erik Amaya
Djouliet Amara is going from Riverdale to Smallville.
Deadline reports the actor will appear on a recurring basis in the upcoming second season of Superman & Lois as a “new student at Smallville High whose past is riddled with secrets.” Make your own guesses as to who she could really be. Also, feel free to ponder what troubles it could present while Jon (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) still try to navigate the waters of Smallville High.
In fact, we can’t help but wonder if the show will pivot more toward teenage issues after a first season more focused on Superman-level problems like inter-dimensional strangers and rogue Kryptonian invasions. To an extent, that meant the boys’ angst about moving to Smallville took a back seat — particularly once that invasion began. Nevertheless, the small town adjustment proved to be some of the most interesting material presented on the program thus far. Perhaps the addition of Amara will prove to be the beginning of a more teen-focused version of the show.
Then again, Superman & Lois likes to present characters as completely different characters for time, so maybe the show will have it both ways.
Superman & Lois returns to The CW in 2022.
