In 2022, Naomi (Kaci Walfall) joins the larger Arrowverse. And as seen in this first-look clip, which debuted at DC FanDome on Saturday, her first moments in the superhero realm will feel quite familiar to anyone who read the Naomi miniseries from Brian Micheal Bendis, David F. Walker, and Jamal Campbell a few years back.
When a supernatural event shakes her hometown to the core, Naomi sets out to uncover its origins, and what she discovers will challenge everything we believe about our heroes.
Besides Walfall, the series will feature Barry Watson as her adoptive father, Greg, Mouzam Makkar as adoptive mother Jennifer, and Mary-Charles Jones as Naomi’s best friend, Annabelle. Other actors in the program include Aidan Gemme as Annabelle’s boyfriend, Jacob; and Daniel Puig as Nathan, a “high school jock who briefly dated Naomi”; Alexander Wraith as tattoo parlor owner Dee; Cranston Johnson as Zumbado, a used car salesman Naomi tries to avoid; and Camila Moreno as Lourdes, a potential Season 1 love interest.
It’s still unclear when the series will debut. We imagine it will coincide with Superman & Lois‘ second season and the conclusion of Legends of Tomorrow‘s seventh season. The Arrowverse is still a busy place and that means finding a slot for the show on one of The CW’s two superhero nights. No matter when it finally joins the schedule, though, it will be an interesting addition to the network’s slate.
