Brendan M. Allen Joins The Comicon Senior Editor Group
by Erik Amaya
Since May of this year, Brendan M. Allen has been killing it as our News Desk editor — compiling all the comic book news fit to print to keep you abreast of the latest happenings in the often wild world of our favorite industry. He’s proven his passion for getting the word out quickly and clearly and we’ve been quite thrilled to have him informing our readers daily. Also, as you may have seen since late summer, he also likes talking drinks over on Happy Hour: Comics and Cocktails at our YouTube channel.
So we’re thrilled to announce he will be taking on a greater role here at Comicon as one of our Senior Editors, overseeing some of our reviewers, spearheading new initiatives like Happy Hour, and maintaining the steady stream of the latest comic book news. He will also continue the weekly New To You Comics column with Tony Thornley, where they share a fascinating and interesting cross-section of comics.
For more about our new Senior Editor, check out his bio below, and it you haven’t already, follow him on Twitter @SaintAmish.
Brendan M. Allen has probably had more jobs than you would reasonably believe. Dog trainer? He’s done it. Flooring contractor? Yep! EMT? Army NBC specialist? Road dog for a Celtic rock band? Yes, yes, and och aye! Now he reads comics and writes about them. You can follow Brendan on Twitter @SaintAmish where he mostly tweets about comic books and cystic fibrosis awareness.
