Marvel And Skydance New Media Announce A New Video Game

Marvel and developer Skydance New Media have confirmed they’re working together to develop a brand new “narrative-driven, blockbuster” featuring a new take on the Marvel Universe. Though there’s currently no confirmation on what franchise they’re working on, the game is being headed up by writer/director and President of Skydance New Media, Amy Hennig.
The press release notes Skydance has gathered developers with “decades of AAA experience in action and adventure gaming”, but not much in terms of actual descriptions of what character is going to be used. Instead, they talked with both Hennig and Jay Ong, Executive VP & and Head of Marvel Games:

The Marvel Universe epitomizes all the action, mystery and thrills of the pulp adventure genre that I adore and lends itself perfectly to an interactive experience. A rumor is going around that this might be a Daredevil game, based off a 4chan rumor from last year that correctly predicted a Wolverine game was in development. For now, this game is likely several years off, so no guess is more valid than another.
