Rebellion Announces The Return Of ‘Hawk The Slayer’ By Garth Ennis
by Olly MacNamee
Cult classic fantasy film, Hawk the Slayer is set to continue on from where the 1980 UK movie left off in a new series by none other than Preacher and The Boys co-creator and writer Garth Ennis at the helm! And joining him on this epic sequel is Judge Dredd artist Henry Flint with covers by Magic the Gathering artist Greg Staples.
“The six-issue mini-series is a direct continuation of the movie, which saw Hawk, who – with his flying ‘mindsword’ and mismatched allies – sets out to rescue a nun from his own deformed brother Vultan, played by Jack Palance at his scenery-chewing worst! Now, it seems that their victory was not all it seemed and greater battles lay ahead…”
Published by Rebellion this will be a six-issue series with a bumper first issue of 32 pages of fantasy action. Each issue will be bagged with monthly issues of Judge Dredd The Megazine from January 2022 onwards.
