The Evil Legends Debut When ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Returns In January
by Erik Amaya
Sadly, the winter hiatus is upon us. But when Legends of Tomorrow returns January 12th, the Evil Gideon’s (Amy Pemberton) Dark Legends get their moment in the spotlight. And if this preview for the next episode is to be believed, they may look familiar even if they have murderous intent. Will they still be able to bond despite the mission to hunt down their counterparts?
As for this week’s show, we’re glad Astra’s (Olivia Swann) anger turned out to be righteous. Segregation was wrong and the invective used by the plant manager illustrates just how ingrained that sort of prejudice was in the 1940s (and continues even to this day). See also: the perky woman who walks off the line when Astra integrates the factory. We’re glad Astra immediately figured out how to turn her anger into something positive, creating a bump for the Black Rosies in the timeline that has to be a net good, right?
Meanwhile, we’re a little bit sad to see Bishop (Raffi Barsoumian) go. The show did a pretty good job rehabilitating him and, as Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) suggested, he was Legends material in the end. Of course, saying something like that out loud usually leads to someone dying. Then again, Bishop did have a habit of cloning himself before, so maybe there’s still hope.
At the very least, it’s something to ruminate on as Legends goes on a long winter’s break.
