‘Ahsoka’ Adds Ivanna Sakhno To Cast
by Erik Amaya
The upcoming Star Wars: Ahsoka series is picking up moment with another new castmember.
Deadline reports Pacific Rim: Uprising‘s Ivanna Sakhno has reportedly joined the series as a newly created character. Rosario Dawson stars as Jedi exile Ahsoka Tano. Set sometime after Return of the Jedi‘s Battle of Endor, Ahsoka reunites with Star Wars Rebels‘ Sabine Wren (to be played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo), presumably to continue the search for their lost friend, Ezra Bridger (voiced by Taylor Gray on Rebels).
Or, at least, we’re assuming that is the case. The program, which Deadline is now characterizing as a limited series, is spearheaded by Rebels supervising director Dave Filoni, who also directed Ahsoka’s live action debut in the most recent season of The Mandalorian. Considering his primary involvement, we’re inclined to believe it will end the story he set up in Rebels‘ concluding moments. Then again, Filoni is a surprising storyteller, so it’s hard to say what will happen in the series proper.
Ahsoka is not yet on the Disney+ release schedule.
