‘Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World’ First Impressions
by Tito W. James
The Isekai genre is about a regular boy getting transported to a fantasy world and surrounded by a harem cute anime girls that help him on his quest to become a legendary hero. This genre has grown in popularity over the past several years and it’s a genre I’ve largely avoided due to it’s over exposure. However, a new Isekai anime caught my eye so I decided to try The Worlds Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated In Another World As An Aristocrat.

The anime follows an archetypical cold-blooded assassin who probably has drinks with John Wick and the Black Kaiser at the Continental Hotel. But after he’s betrayed by his organization he gets reborn in younger body and is tasked with killing the legendary hero of a fantasy world. Despite the gimmicky premise this show hooked me because of its characters.
Assassin Gets Reincarnated In Another World embraces the ludicrous fun of its premise and it’s genuinely a blast to see the assassin adapting to his new environment. The anime delivers the action, humor, and fan-service one might expect from an Isekai. Yet, there are also some surprisingly touching moments within the first few episodes. It’s these emotional moments that only work within the lewd-logic of anime that ultimately sold me on the show. This series reminded me of Coffin Princess an anime with a similarly ridiculous premise and stellar execution.
So if you’re up an Isekai that delivers on the unique traits of the genre while also adding something new then check out The Worlds Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated In Another World As An Aristocrat. (Try saying that three times fast).
