‘Battle Chasers’ Coming To TV From ‘John Wick’ Creator

Joe Madureira’s action fantasy series Battle Chasers is being adapted as a live-action TV show written and produced by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. Battle Chasers was originally a comic from the 90s but after Madureira left comics for video game development the characters have found new life in the best selling RPG Battle Chasers: Nightwar.
The live action adaptation comes as a surprise considering how much of the series charm has stemmed from Madureira’s hyper-stylized art. But fans of Battle Chasers can rest easy because series producer Kolstad promises that this adaptation will feature unapologetic and unrelenting action. Even as someone who’s only familiar with Madureira’s work on Darksiders I can’t help but get excited for Battle Chasers.
