‘Assassin’s Creed’ Gets Two New Expansions With “Dawn Of Ragnarok” & “Crossover Stories”
by Sage Ashford
Ubisoft continues to offer downloadable content for their two biggest games, as Assassin’s Creed adds some major content to both of the two most recent Assassin’s Creed titles. The first big story is Assassin’s Creed: Crossover Stories, in which Kassandra and Eivor come into contact. Both characters’ titles are adding two stories as free content on December 14th: “Those Who Are Treasured” comes to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, while “A Fated Encounter” comes to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is getting a larger DLC in the Spring — Dawn of Ragnarok. Described as their “most ambitious expansion in franchise history,” it puts the player in the role of Odin again as he travels to a new world to save his son. The journey brings him to Svartalfheim, which is under occupation from Surtr, the people of Muspelheim and the giants of Jotunheim. There, he’ll gain special powers from defeating enemies, like the ability to transform into a Muspel or even a raven for special assassinations.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok launches March 10th and will be sold separately as a $40 expansion.
