Fullmetal Alchemist Gets A Gorgeous New Title For iOS and Android

Square-Enix managed to introduce anime fans to both pleasure and pain this weekend, with the announcement of their upcoming title, Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile. They premiered a gorgeous new trailer that shows off the familiar characters of one of the most popular anime ever made… and then told everyone it was only going to be available on mobile platforms at the end of the trailer. For people who prefer their gaming on consoles or PC and were excited to re-visit the world of FMA and the Elric Brothers, this was massively disappointing.
That said, it’s one of the prettiest titles Square has shown off recently. From the trailer, the title looks to be an adaptation of the original storyline from creator Hiromu Arakawa, with a fully-voiced cast and rendered in 3D.
Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile is currently only scheduled to release in Japan, but it seems likely a Western release is coming given the popularity of the anime.
