It’s A Reality Show From Hell On Next Week’s ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’
by Erik Amaya
After a detour with the android duplicates, the true Waverider team returns on next week’s Legends of Tomorrow. But as this preview for the episode reveals, the gang is stuck in Constantine’s cross-dimensional home just as a reality show crew from Hell arrives to film their antics. Will they succumb to deceptive editing and tear each other’s throats out or will they overcome the cliches of the format? Also, will they escape from Constantine’s manor in a timely fashion?
Meanwhile, we have to admit this week’s episode was the weakest of the season. The joke of the evil robot Legends works for the first act, but it soon breaks down as both Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) and Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) never get past their initial, murderous gag. Sure, robot Sara (Caity Lotz) gets some character development, but its lost in nearly the most obvious way. All that said, it at least confirms the other Gideon (Amy Pemberton) as the real villain of the season. But considering her dedication to the timeline, one has to wonder if she was originally altered to have a heart by Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) or someone else in the Waverider‘s past. Also, with the Legends’ habit for mucking things up getting such play this week, are we on the precipice of the Time Masters being restored?
Legends of Tomorrow airs Wednesdays on The CW.
