The Legend of Vox Machina is an adult animated fantasy-adventure series series based on the web series Critical Role, which in turn is based on campaigns of Dungeons and Dragons. The first season of Vox Machina will incorporate characters from Critical Role’s first live-streamed tabletop role-playing game campaign. The series follows a band of misfits who embark on quest against dark magical forces to pay off their mounting bar tab.
From the trailer Vox Machina looks like Castlevania meets Guardians of the Galaxy. Now that violent action cartoons are becoming more pervasive, it will be up to the characters and writing to see if Vox Machina stands out. So far it looks pretty funny and could be a blast.
The Legend of Vox Machina will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video February 4th 2022.
