Get ready for Ironheart to introduce another important Marvel Cinematic Universe Character.
Deadline reports In the Heights actor Anthony Ramos has joined the series in an undisclosed, but key role. According to the site, “it will be similar to how Jonathan Majors was introduced” in the first season of Loki. Both characters will continue to have ongoing roles in various Marvel Studios projects. It is unclear if both will be big bads (although Majors’ next variant will be Kang the Conqueror), but let your speculations about Ramos’s character run wild. We’ll go out on limb and suggest he will appear as Norrin Radd. The arrival of Galactus has to be heralded at some point, after all.
The program, based on concepts outlined by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato back in the comics, will star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, a tech genius and creator of an armored suit to rival the likes of Iron Man. Thorne is expected to debut as Williams in November’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — perhaps paying off the idea of the Wakandan diplomatic mission to American cities — before moving onto her own show and, presumably, the Armor Wars event series on Disney+. Chinaka Hodge will serve as head writer, but the program is still in a developmental stage.
Ironheart is not yet scheduled to premiere, but it will stream on Disney+.
