The CW Sets Season Finale Calendar

by Erik Amaya

As has become something of an annual tradition, The CW has released its season finale calendar for most of the programs currently airing on the network. For our purposes, that means this season of the Arrowverse draws to a close in June when The Flash finishes its eighth season on the 29th of that month. Superman & Lois wraps up on June 21st and Naomi will run back-to-back episodes on May 10th to finish its first season.

Well, provided it comes back, of course. Like Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow, the series’ fate is still up in air. That said, the network usually finalizes its Fall/Spring pickups and renewals in May, so Naomi and the other two shows may get a bit of good news by then.

One show not on the list is Riverdale, which only returned on March 13th. Presumably, its run will extend a little bit further into the summer. It currently airs on Sundays.

The calendar is a far cry from last year, which saw shows like Supergirl run into November as the network played catch-up in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, the pandemic continues to have an impact on shows, with Superman & Lois and Naomi going on hiatus through most of April to reset post-production schedules in the wake of occasional COVID-related shutdowns on the set of Superman & Lois.

Presumably, summer shows like Stargirl and In The Dark will begin to fill slots in late June or early July, but neither has a premiere date yet.
