SDCC 2022: Milestone Announces Plans For Static With New Series, A YA Graphic Novel And First Look

Static is getting a new series and Young Adult graphic novel as announced at yesterday’s Jim Lee and Friends panel. Writer Vita Ayala and  artist Nikolas Draper-Ivey will be launching Static: Shadows of Dakota, the follow-up to Static: Season One later this year with Milestone’s first-ever young adult original graphic novel, Static: Up All Night, debuting Summer 2023.

Also announced – by Jim Lee and Denys Cowan – was a HBO Max documentary Milestone Generations which chronicles the history of Milestone Media and it legacy as the first Black-owned super hero comic book publisher. and its partnership with DC. You can catch the trailer below:
