‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’ Shifts Premiere Date

by Erik Amaya

Thursdays are the new Wednesdays.

Earlier today, Disney confirmed She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will debut on August 18th instead of the originally planned August 17th. The one-day shift breaks Loki’s (Tom Hiddleston) proclamation that “Wednesdays are the new Fridays” when his series debuted. Although no distinct reason was given for the shift, it reflects a growing concern about Disney+’s use of Wednesdays as a premiere date. Indeed, both She-Hulk and Andor were expected to share the day for most of their respective runs. The latter series is now planned to debut on Wednesday, September 21st with its first three episodes while She-Hulk finishes its run on Thursdays through October.

The program stars Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who also happens to be the cousin of Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo). A chance accident infuses her with Bruce’s gamma-irradiated powers and her employer sees it as the perfect opportunity to open up a superhuman law division. Jen, for her part, just wants to be a lawyer and wants as little to do with superhumans, superheroes, or world-ending catastrophes. But living in the Marvel Cinematic Universe means all that trouble will break down her office door and force her to get involved.

Besides Maslany and Ruffalo, the program also features Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, Benedict Wong as Wong, and newcomers Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
