Watch The First Spine-Chilling Trailer For ‘Wendell and Wild’
by Tito W. James
Wendell and Wild is a stop-motion animated project by Henry Selick (Coraline) staring comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele (Nope). Kat, a troubled teen haunted by her past, must confront her personal demons, Wendell and Wild. Animated films that explore spookier subjects are a rare treat. Selick’s legendary work on Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline have loyal cult followings. Peele is also one of the most unique contemporary voices in the horror space making a dream team for Wendell and Wild. The icing on the cake is that the film will be rated PG-13. In my view, we need PG-13 four-quadrant animated films to be as normalized as tentpole blockbusters.
Wendell and Wild will be streaming on Netflix October 28th.
