Local Comic Book Day 2022: Skybound Announces ‘The Walking Dead Deluxe’ #50, ‘Kroma’ #1 And ‘I Hate This Place’ Vol.1 Exclusives

by Olly MacNamee

Coming this Local Comic Shop Day, from Skybound are three variants for The Walking Dead Deluxe #50, Kroma #1 and I Hate This Place Vol.1. And here’s the details and the covers on all three releases:

“The Walking Dead Deluxe #50 LCSD Wraparound Variant (AUG228337) features Charlie Adlard’s wraparound cover with an unforgettable full foil treatment. In the now historic 50th issue, Carl fights for survival alone. This deluxe presentation in stunning full color also features another installment of “Cutting Room Floor” and creator commentary celebrating the secret history of the series from Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard and Dave McCaig.”

“One of the most-anticipated new launches of the season returns with Kroma #1 LCSD Variant (AUG228336) from superstar Lorenzo De Felici, featuring his instantly iconic main series cover with a stunning matte lamination and spot gloss enhancement. Imprisoned in a tower within the walls of the Pale City, Kroma lives her days out in darkness, believing she is the most evil creature alive. However, where her people see a monster, the mysterious orphan Zet sees a human. But if either of them are to survive the city’s strange rituals and customs, they will have to overcome the cruel fate of Kroma…even if it means risking certain death beyond the walls in the jaws of giant lizards and enormous birds of prey.”

“And book your vacation to the most frightening place on Earth by getting your copy of I Hate This Place Vol.1 Explicit LCSD Variant (AUG228338), featuring the logo to the series’ original title “Fuck This Place.” After inheriting a farmhouse, Trudy and Gabby are ready to start the next chapter of their lives together…except it’s already home to a mysterious force that’s attracted ghosts, aliens, and all kinds of supernatural beings for decades. Now, Gabby and Trudy must play by the “house rules” in order to survive one of the year’s most acclaimed new series from Kyle Starks, Artyom Topilin and Lee Loughridge.”

Local Comic Shop Day takes place on Wednesday, November 23rd in participating comic book stores. Ask yours for more details and what they’ll be carrying to avoid disappointment.
